A driver who was stopped by the police on suspected drink-driving was told to drive himself to the police station where he would be given a breath test. The strange request was due to the fact the police had run out of disposable straws used in breathalysers.

Drunk nine year old caught driving a stolen car

A boy aged just nine was apprehended in Cumbria this week for driving offences. The boy, who is too young to be prosecuted by the police for a criminal offence, was arrested in Cumbria for being drunk behind the wheel. Police make fifteen arrests in connection with vehicle thefts

Greater Manchester Police have made fifteen arrests following an investigation into the sale of stolen cars through vehicle trading websites. The cars were sold to innocent buyers, sometimes within hours of being stolen.

Police take tough stance on anti-social drivers

A Scottish police force are assuring members of the public that they will not allow anti-social motorists to ruin the lives of law abiding citizens, as they crack down on rogue drivers. Elderly Man spent three days driving around the M4

A seventy two year old man whose wife’s flight was diverted from Heathrow to Gatwick because of the chaos caused by the snow, spent three days driving around the M4 after getting lost and being unable to find his way home, it has emerged.

A man has been charged by police after a runaway lorry brought chaos to Stonehaven town centre when it rolled down a hill, ricocheting off, and damaging a dozen cars.

Increase in positive breath tests

Suffolk police have expressed how disappointed they are, after a crackdown on drink and drug driving this summer, has shown no improvement on last years figures. The 30 day long enforcement campaign, which began on 1st June, actually saw an increase of 0.2% in the number of tests which were positive, this is compared to the figures for the same period in 2009.  Police Officers throughout Suffolk conducted 711 breath tests, with 61 of those being positive it equates to 8.6%.
