Mini Car Insurance

The British Motor Company produced a small car called the Mini in 1959 and it remained in production up until 2000. It was the most popular British made car ever and was succeeded by the New MINI which was launched in 2001 by BMW. The original Mini is now considered an icon of the 1960's and it's always been known for its space saving layout – ever heard of “how many people can you fit in a mini?”

Also considered to be the British equivalent for the German VW Beetle the Mini has enjoyed popularity for a long time. Manufactured in Longbridge and Cowley plants in the UK the Mini has always been a great fun little car and many people to this day choose an old Mini over the New MINI by BMW.

The original Mini had three major updates – the Mk II, the Clubman and the Mk III. These all had variations including the Estate, the Pick up, Van and the Mini Moke which was a jeep-like buggy. There were sportier productions of the Mini – the Mini Cooper and the Cooper “S” which were successful rally cars which won the Monte Carlo Rally three times.
